Add to Calendar 03/22/2018 11:00 03/22/2018 11:45 Europe/Amsterdam Is Kids Content the Future of Online Video or Will Bad Actors Ruin Everything? Children's entertainment has exploded on online video services like YouTube, Netflix, Maxdome, and Videoland over the past few years. As tablets and mobile phones become the primary viewing devices for kids, future generations are growing up expecting unlimited, interactive, and on-demand content. But as online video players increasingly move to premium, family-friendly services, a darker side has emerged. Popular characters are ripped off, exploited, and turned into offensive and sickening shows for kids. Bot-created videos pass through automated filters and poison the environment with unsafe shows. Is it possible to develop IP and build franchises that appeal to both kids and advertisers without running afoul of the increasingly strict algorithmic filters? Will the tide of terrible kids content ruin online video as a "safe" viewing experience? This session brings together the leading voices in children's entertainment to explore the future of kids content. | Matterhorn | false MM/DD/YYYY
